Property Owner Presentations - August 13
Property owners are invited to present ideas for their property to the Community Coordination Committee (C3) on Wednesday, August 13, at 6:00 pm at Damascus City Hall.  You must sign up by August 4 to make a presentation and provide the following:  1) You will be allowed a 10-minute presentation  2) A written presentation, one page maximum  3) Vicinity map  4) Property specific map.  For more information, contact the Community Development Department or Anita Yap, ayap@ci.damascus.or.us.
Requests, Complaints, FAQs and Opinion Polls

Council Appoints Committee for Citizen Involvement
On June 2, 2008, Damascus City Council appointed the following six members to serve on the Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI):  Todd Allen, Stan Hymel, Diana Lobo, Louise Neilson, James Kerr, and Theresa Dillard-Lund.  The plan calls for a seven-member committee.  The City will continue to accept applications from interested parties for Council consideration to fill the vacancy.  If interested, please fill out the Committee Application and submit it to City Hall.
Day in Damascus - July 26
To learn more about the annual Day in Damascus celebration, you may visit their new website.  This year Day in Damascus will be on Saturday, July 26.
City Council Meetings Televised
City Council meets at 7:00 PM the first and third Monday of every month at City Hall.  You may view the Council meeting on cable television.  The times are Thursdays at 10 AM and again at 7:30 PM,  and on Sundays at 8:30 AM and again at 7:00 PM.   If you are a Comcast subscriber, then tune in to Channel 23, and if you are a Clear Creek subscriber then tune in to Channel 18.  You may also stop by City Hall to check out a DVD or VHS tape of the meetings.

Vested Rights Determinations
The City of Damascus Community Development Department has received applications requesting vested rights determinations to allow the owners of the property described in the application to continue a use and develop the property as allowed under a previously granted Measure 37 waiver. Measure 49 Section 5(3) provides Measure 37 claimants with the opportunity to establish a vested right. City of Damascus Ordinance 2008-28 governs the procedure for processing Measure 37 vested rights applications, and provides for a community Development Director decision on these applications and any appeals to City Council.
