Brand Your City Contest
What do you think of when you think of Damascus?  This can be a word, a short slogan or a phrase such as "Damascus: A New Beginning" or "Where Nature and Development Flourish."  Try to think of something unique that connects or identifies the City of Damascus.  To let the City know what you think, click on the Citizen Request Hot Topic button, then click on the Polls page.  The contest is open to all ages.  Recognition will be given to the person who submitted the selected brand.  City of Damascus reserves all rights to use the selected brand.

Interim Urban Forestry Ordinance
City Council approved and adopted by unanimous vote Ordinance No. 2007-16, Ordinance No. 2007-20, and Ordinance No. 2008-27 in order to extend the provisions of Ordinance No. 2007-16 through October 6, 2008, or until superseded, whichever occurs first.  The Development Code Topic Specific Team (TST) has been working on the Interim Urban Forestry Ordinance since January 9, 2008.  For more information, you can read the Frequently Asked Questions.  Comments on the Draft Interim Urban Forestry Ordinance can be sent to Bob Short, Associate Planner, at bshort@ci.damascus.or.us.
