What is the urban forestry ordinance?
In September 2007 City Council adopted by unanimous vote Ordinance No. 2007-16, which placed a temporary ban on clear cutting trees in Damascus. At the May 4, 2009, Council meeting, Council adopted by unanimous vote Ordinance No. 2009-38 which supersedes and replaces City of Damascus Ordinance Nos. 2007-16, 2007-20, 2008-27 and 2008-34.
