Design Workshop Results
The community engaged in a four-day design workshop October 20 - 23 to develop a Draft Comprehensive Plan map. The map includes proposed land use designations, conservation and development areas, future roads, trail systems, transit corridors and an urban agricultural overlay. Subarea Reports Available
Come to City Hall and pick up a copy of the Damascus Subareas Report. This report is the culmination of 16 subarea meetings that took place between March and June of this year. The report highlights the findings and recommendations that were made in each subarea. You can view the Subarea Planning webpage for more information.

City Council Meetings Televised
City Council meets at 7:00 PM the
first and third Monday of every month at City Hall. You may view
the Council meeting on cable television. The times are Thursdays at
10 AM and again at 7:30 PM, and on Sundays at 8:30 AM and again at
7:00 PM. If you are a Comcast subscriber, then tune in to Channel
23, and if you are a Clear Creek subscriber then tune in to Channel 18.
You may also stop by City Hall to check out a DVD or VHS tape of the
meetings.

Sign Up To Receive City Information
If you would like to stay informed about ongoing City activities, you may sign up by submitting your email address and the City will send you messages regarding City business. You may also sign up to receive notices of employment opportunities and when the City meeting agendas, packets, and minutes are made available on the website.

City Recruits Budget Committee Members
Applications are currently being taken for the City’s Budget Committee. Terms for Budget Committee positions 1, 5, 6 and 7 are up on March 1, 2009. Council will make its appointments to the Budget Committee at its January 20, 2009 meeting. Anyone wishing to serve should fill out a Committee Application and submit it to City Hall. December 15 Holiday Open House
The City of Damascus will be hosting a Holiday Open House at City Hall on December 15, from 5:00 – 6:45 PM. Come enjoy a cup of holiday punch or hot cocoa and cookies, then stay for the City Council meeting at 7:00 PM. Santa will be there with candy canes and for photo opportunities, along with a 1936 fire engine decorated with Christmas lights.
